Special Event!

BONNIE ZIMMERMANN
Executive Director of Indonesian Parrot Project

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2019
10:00AM - 12:00PM
Doors open at 9:30AM
SPRINGFIELD, VA

Parrots in Indonesia are highly endangered. Join us for a special event with Bonnie Zimmermann, Executive Director of the non-profit organization, Indonesian Parrot Project.

Zimmermann will discuss the challenges facing rare species of cockatoos on the Indonesian archipelago, which have been devastated by wildlife trafficking and environmental destruction. She will also talk about the organization’s work with local communities to ensure the future of these intelligent and exquisite birds.

There will be a showing of Wildlife Messenger’s half-hour documentary profiling the Indonesian Parrot Project’s work in action.

The morning’s events begin at 10 a.m. There will be a special auction to benefit the Project’s work. Phoenix Landing’s Helping Parrots store will have a pop-up shop offering parrot merchandise. Adoptable parrots from Phoenix Landing will be available for a “meet and greet.”

Email contact@phoenixlanding.org with any questions.
