DRAFT AGENDA Here is our draft agenda, which may possibly have some small changes before May 30th.
LUNCH for both Saturday and Sunday is $40.00. Vegetarian option available. It's University fare ... but recommended since there are no easy options nearby. However, you are welcome to bring your own snacks and lunch! PARKING The university has updated its parking permit process. It is now $3 a day, sorry! Your license plate serves as your permit so nothing is needed for the dashboard, but please don't back into the space if you have no front license plate. You can register 7 days in advance HERE. |

UNC-A Dormitory Option:
There are lots of great hotels and airbnbs in Asheville. For the best rates, make an early reservation. Asheville is a very popular place these days! Dorm rooms at UNC-Asheville are also available for price and geographical convenience. These are basic college dorm rooms; with a shared bath between 2 rooms. Linens are provided. |
The cost is $109 per night, 2 night minimum. Parking at the dorm is $5 per day extra. Pick your options from the drop-down menu below. May 16th is the DEADLINE to guarantee dorm room lodging.

Our 2026 Wellness Retreat will be more interactive, with many opportunities for attendees to participate and learn through interaction, discussion, and hands-on activities.
For example, during the training sessions, some audience members will have the opportunity to learn trick training or techniques for teaching husbandry behaviors. There will be a mini wet-lab for gram stain learners. Together we will build PVC stands and a foraging table which will be auctioned on Sunday.

Many of speakers will present photos, videos, or case studies and ask you to help determine if there is a problem and what possible solutions might be. Perhaps you need to learn the proper way to hold or towel a bird or learn to provide medications and give injections, etc.
Of course, we will have our usual array of helpful lectures about a wide variety of topics. A draft agenda is under construction. We plan to have FOUR simultaneous tracks, similar to our past Wellness Retreats, so there is SOMETHING for EVERYONE!
