Upcoming On-Line Events
Phoenix Landing events are largely held online now. Every month we try to feature a live Zoom event with a special guest speaker. There is always something new to learn and we hope you will join us often! Sometimes the event is recorded and you can find it on our website to view at anytime. We also offer self-paced core classes which address the essential aspects of parrot care such as health, safety, behavior, nutrition, and enrichment. These classes coincide with our adoption process, but they are also available to anyone who is interested in new ideas or continued learning. Details about upcoming events are below.

August 2025
August 16th, 1:00 pm Eastern Foraging for Mental and Physical Fitness With Hilla Niemann This webinar will be about foraging and encouraging parrots to work for their food and fun. Parrots in the wild are required to forage and they spend many hours searching for their food and then manipulating it for consumption. This is an important time-consuming skill that is often neglected in our homes. Conventional bowl feeding can cause boredom and dissatisfaction, leading to other problems as well. Hilla will show us some creative, inexpensive, and effective ways to keep our birds occupied and stimulate their natural instincts. Let's work together to find ways to keep our parrots working for their food while keeping them happy and healthy too! Hilla lives in Germany and has many behavior and training certifications.
