Adoptable birds from Phoenix Landing on Petfinder

This list of adoptable birds below is not comprehensive. Phoenix Landing has about 100 birds in foster at any time, with the potential to be adopted.  There are usually over 100 more waiting for our help, and they are not listed here.  Our goal is to work with you to make a good match, and that probably means bringing a bird into our system that we have never met before.

There is no need to send an inquiry through the PetFinders system. The first steps in the adoption process are to complete and send in a Parrot Match Application and attend one of our core parrot care classes. Then, the adoption coordinator in your area will schedule a volunteer to conduct a short home visit and will also work with you to find the best match for a bird and your home. In the majority of cases, we have a two month foster period before finalizing an adoption, so you can make sure a bird is a good fit and the bird agrees!

The location listed by PetFinders is generic, and not necessarily where that bird currently is. Additional information on the adoption program may be found on the Adoption page.

VERY IMPORTANT: Our areas of operation ONLY include Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, Eastern TN, and Jacksonville in NE Florida. If you are outside of our normal operating area, we are sorry we that our volunteer network does not reach that far. But we hope there is an organization closer to you because almost every bird needs a succession of good homes. Thanks for considering adoption first and for Helping Parrots!  And  everyone is welcome to join our events, education is our most important mission!

Phoenix Landing Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to parrot welfare, serving Maryland, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, and the Jacksonville, FL areas. Federal Identification Number EIN: 87-0659457
