Originally planned for Costa Rica, the World Parrot Refuge will now
have its start in Vancouver. There will be educational
exhibits and videos to help the public understand why so many
parrots rarely succeed for their entire lives in one home, and what
an exponential problem this has become. There will be 23,000
square feet of indoor, heated, free-flight aviaries, 16,000 square
feet of which will be easily accessed outdoor flights for the
warmer months. The flights will be filled with natural branches and
tree stumps ~ great for feet, for hiding, and especially for
