PARROT ENRICHMENT CLASSES |
Phoenix Landing hosts educational seminars featuring speakers with special knowledge or experience related to the welfare of parrots. Come and learn more about how parrots think and behave, how you can be a better parrot guardian, and what we can all do towards improving the welfare of parrots both in captivity and in the wild.
You can also meet some of our adoptable birds at most of our events, from parakeets to macaws. However, for health and safety reasons, we ask that you do not bring your birds. We are very careful to insure that our birds have been vetted, and strive to minimize the spread of disease.
Of course we appreciate donations to help cover our facility and speaker costs, and sometimes we will even suggest one. However, we want everyone to come regardless of money. Please take the time to learn something new for your parrot.
We sell lots of wonderful parrot toys and supplies at our events, and appreciate your support. This is our primary means of paying for the needs of the parrots in our care. |

LABS and BLOODWORK
Birds can appear perfectly healthy and then suddenly become ill, or even die. We can help prevent such tragedies by making sure our birds have regular avian vet care. Routine LABS & BLOOD CHEMISTRIES can give us lots of important information about a bird’s true health, and might evensave your bird’s life! |

**TRAINING CONCEPTS**
Steve Martin is one of the best-known animal trainers in the world, starting with his first bird show at the San Diego Wild Animal Park in 1976 up to his current programs at Natural Encounters, Inc (NEI). NEI is responsible for extensive animal training at zoos, as well as the World of Birds Show at many parks and fairs. Steve and his expert animal trainers have made an enormous difference for many animals, not just birds, all around the world.
Many of us have trained under Steve at his Companion Parrot Workshops in Florida, and hopefully many more of you will go in the future. PLEASE come to this event. You will go home feeling inspired and empowered to recognize your parrot’s natural behaviors, and you will learn to communicate more clearly and appropriately!
